Mend-IT-Balm,
A Hand-Crafted balm using only the finest of ingredients, using herbs from my garden where possible or sourced organically & sustainably. To create an ALL purpose balm that is designed to rub onto UNBROKEN skin, when there has been a fracture, sprain, bruising, break or pulled muscle. Also a wonderful remedy for arthritis, nerve pain, inflammation, muscle strains & tension.
The active ingredients are; Arnica, Comfrey, St Johns Wort, Dandelion herb (which have been slowly infused in Sunflower Oil) & essential oils of Wintergreen & Peppermint. Which are all blended together with Shea & Cocoa Butter, Coconut & Vitamin E oil & Candelilla wax.
Fun INFO: Comfrey has traditionally been used & known by the name 'Boneset & 'Knitbone. Its botanical name Symphytum means 'to unite' or 'grow together'. The leaves & roots contain a compound called Allantoin, which stimulate cell proliferation - promoting new collagen, connective tissue & bone. Used for millennia to help heal burns, sprains, bruises & even bone fractures, comfrey contains allantoin which is thought to speed up the production of new cells. Arnica reduces inflammation, relieves pain, treats muscle aches, sprains & bruising. St Johns Wort reduces muscle pain, nerve pain & nerve damage throughout the body. Dandelion is anti-inflammatory, high in antioxidants & when applied topically it can help nourish & clear skin as well as aid the relief of muscle & joint pain, including pain caused by arthritis.
Wintergreen Oil has pain relieving effects which help to alleviate muscles, joint pain, tendonitis & bone pain. The methyl salicylate in the oil helps numb the area & promote blood circulation & along with the Peppermint providing a warming sensation to the area.
Candelilla wax is a plant based wax & is a suitable vegan alternative to beeswax ... It is skin conditioning, easily absorbed, odorless & rich in nutrients. No bees have been exploited to bring this balm to your home.
